My Future…

Turning 40 has been a blessing in my life. My mind has opened towards things, I formerly opposed. For ex., schooling. While I’m exhausted from going to school (University of Phoenix, Bachelor’s Admin)…I know I can’t quit now. I was going to immediately go into their Master’s program…I mean it seemed like the logical thing to do. However, it was put upon me sooooo tough to go to LAW SCHOOL. Myself…I was opposed to it, in that I felt I was too old to go to law school. Also, I did not think I could carry that school load. If I was younger…I would go into entertainment law and swim with the rest of the sharks. Now that I’ve tasted the corporate life, and seen 1st hand how ‘politics’ can hurt the low man on the totem pole, my focus has shifted towards leveling the playing field. It is my desire to work on behalf of the EEOC or an equivalent. At my place of employment people are scared to fight due to retribution. It’s called the Whistleblower Protection Act, people!! Accdg to my calculations, I have about another year b4 my bachelor’s degree is completed, and then I’ll go directly to law school. I’m thinking about applying to Detroit’s illustrious Wayne State University Law School.

While it is a daunting task, I am up for the challenge. I ask for your thoughts, prayers, and encouragement. I’ve had enough of trying to climb a corporate ladder that only rewards a selected few for their individualism. While there is a higher accountability being an attorney, I’ve chosen to not go into a law specialty that will cause me to lose a) sleep, or b) my dignity/integrity. I’m not trying to be a hero…but God has given me the gifts of logic, debate, and fighting for the underdog…and it took 39yrs to know those are ingredients that are conducive to my becoming a lawyer. I don’t want to change the world, I just want the average Joe to know that he/she can fight back.

Sick Ain’t Even The Adjective to describe this man…

Josef Fritzl admitted to authorities he raped his daughter and fathered her children

I’m sure you all know by now this nutcase from Austria, Josef Fritzl, has confessed to holding his daughter…his biological daughter, his daughter who carries 50% of his DNA, HOSTAGE in a secret dungeon under his home for 24 yrs.

While that’s ridiculous in and of itself…Fritzl has sired SEVEN children by his daughter, 6 of whom are alive.

The child who died?

Oh Fritzl burned HIS BABY up in an incinerator.

His child/grandchild was thrown in a fire by his own hand.

SMH

Oh, and Fritzl’s married.

He ruled his home with an iron fist and verbal threats (gassing the family if they ventured downstairs), so his wife (his daughter’s mother) never knew her daughter was living just below her.

She (mommy) was told by hubby dearest their daughter ran away 24 yrs ago.

You know what? With all of the sick and twisted acts this man has committed-do u know they are still forgivable under God?? If Fritzl confessed, and repented…God would forgive him.

Amazing.

This story is so sick and twisted, that I can’t write about it anymore.

It was created by William Pye and is just ONE of his water vortex creations.

According to Greek mythology Charybdis (Kharybdis) was a goddess/sea monster who had a whirlpool in the messina straits.

Why Tavis Quit The Tom Joyner Morning Show: According To Tom Joyner…

I’ve tried to listen on many occasions to the Tom Joyner Morning Show (TJMS)…but for some reason, I just can’t get into the show. The few times I have listened, the points of interest that held my attention were the scholarships awarded and the giving away of $$$ to people who deserved it. I truly admire Joyner’s philanthropic efforts.

Having said that, I was saddened to read Tavis Smiley quit the TJMS as a featured guest- not due to conflicting interests, money disagreements, or creative differences.

According to Tom Joyner, Tavis Smiley quit the show bcuz he was not receiving love from the black community.

sigh I don’t know what has transpired between listeners and Tavis Smiley, but if that fact is true-then it’s downright shameful.

From the time I first viewed you on Flava of Love’s 1st episode where you beat up girlfriend over a bed and got kicked off the show-I knew you were…SPECIAL.

I don’t know maybe it was your baby voice, or watching you on Charm School where you gave your belongings away, or how you had to fight for everything that you’ve got. Your words resonated within me and I championed you.

When you won the $50k grand prize on Charm School..girrrrrrlll, I was ca-rying (crying) with you…fa real! I mean even your blonde/pink weave which took some getting used to..was the bomb!

Having said all of that…I’m just trying to understand where you’re going with the lip chap?

I think it’s a wonderful marketing opportunity, but is the lip chap for everyone or just men? Your videos seems so sexualized, although the 2nd video is much tamer in comparison to the first lip chap video!

Believes that “friends” means just that. Friends. There is no such thing as “friends with benefits.” What kind of idiocy is that????

So why is it so hard to meet men of quality these days?? There is a guy who is diggin’ me, but a relationship with him is NOT POSSIBLE. Eventhough his marriage (I’ll be 2nd banana to NO ONE) is kaput in theory…it’s not kaput officially. How can I pursue a relationship with a man who’s married?? NOT. Another guy who feels me…is not relationship material bcuz he has no car, will not step up to lead-I’m expected to run everything. I want to be lead, instead of being the leader-ALL THE TIME!! Am I wrong for that? I want to be charmed, courted, protected, made to feel secure…I want intimacy (NOT SEX, no bootycalls, no frickin’ friends w/benefits).

Wonder Where Suspect Got His Violent Tendencies From??

Union County (WLTX) - A reporter for WSPA-TV, the CBS affiliate in the Upstate, was attacked Tuesday by a group of people while covering a story.

Four people were arrested after the incident which took place while the reporter was covering a murder investigation.

According to WSPA-TV’s website, reporter Charmayne Brown was across the street from the victim’s house when family members began yelling for her to leave.

The murder case involves 33-year-old Michael Shane Howell, who’s accused of killing his grandfather, 73-year-old Tommy Howell, Monday night.

Brown says the group, relatives of both men, were using racial slurs at her and her photographer. At some point, the station says one of the women rushed Brown, punched her, and dragged her to the ground.

Brown says at least two other people joined in on the attack as her photographer tried to pull them off of her. The photographer, Ti Barnes, was also assaulted.

Trina Vinson, Michael Howell’s mother, is one of those who’s accused of taking part in the attack. Two others–Billie Taylor and Tousha Smith–are also charged. Smith is Michael Howell’s sister. One other person is wanted, but has not yet been found.

If A Nanny Can Tell U How To Raise Your Kids on TV, Then a School Can Potty Train Your Child!!

I’m not sure where I am on this subject:

POTTY TRAINING.

It can be difficult, and frustrating for both parties (parent/child), but I’m not sure if I was able to send my child to a potty training school, I would have taken advantage of the opportunity.

Keeping it real…I know I wouldn’t have.

I would’ve taken that (putting my child in a potty training school) as a blow to my parenting skills, and I would feel unworthy being a parent.

But that’s just MY OPINION.

Heck, if they can sell canine couture clothing, I guess you can have a potty training school. I mean they do have stripper pole classes…same ridiculousness, right?

At Children’s Hospital Boston, potty training school has been a godsend. Some children are traumatized by the sound of a flushing toilet, other kids just aren’t ready to be potty trained.

I learned that lesson. I tried to potty train my son prematurely and it was a disaster.

He was almost 3yrs old (after 100 trillion mothers told me, boys are late bloomers and you can’t rush them), but looked 5yrs old, when he was potty-trained. I’m happy to say he was a success. The first night in his big boy pants, I woke up every 2 hours to check on him and take him to the bathroom.

Nothing.

Next morning I woke up taking the “dead man walking” walk to his room, fearful an aromatic urine whiff would meet me at the threshold of his room.

Nothing.

My kid had his 1st successful night in his big boy pants.

I’m happy to report he’s been piss and Pampers free ever since (he’ll be 17 in July).

But that’s just me.

If you’re on the verge of doing some abusive, wrestling moves on your child bcuz they’re wetting themselves or they refuse to be potty train…

SEND THEIR PISSY BEHINDS TO A POTTY TRAINING SCHOOL-cuz if you make the news due to hurting your child, I’m sending YOUR story to <a href=”http://www.parentsbehavingbadly.com/”>Parents Behaving Badly</a>!

But send them AFTER you’ve taken them to the dr., and made sure your pissy angel is ok physiologically. Truth be told YOU may be your child’s hindrance to potty training success.

You probably scared the piss back into their kidneys!

I’m not trying to be Bessie Stringfield but I’m gone learn how to ride a bike (i.e, motorcycle). Perhaps it’s bcuz I’m turning 40 next month, or maybe it’s bcuz my children are young adults-and depend on me less, or maybe it’s bcuz I want to conquer an old fear (of being vulnerable on a motorcycle)…shoot, maybe it’s a combo of all of the above-but one thing’s for certain:

I’m gone learn how to ride a motorcycle!!

***Bessie Stringfield made 8 long-distance, solo trips across the U.S.A. in the 1930’s & ’40’s… do you know how dangerous that was for a woman, let alone a BLACK WOMAN?! Bessie was truly a “G.”***

As a matter of fact, although I was shaking, I called this morning and registered for my Motorcycle Endorsement class! Class starts on May 2nd!! Oh my goodness, i’m excited! Of course I’ll keep you all posted!!
